The DNE is comprised of a developmentally sensitive core template and optional techniques that can be embedded at the interviewer's discretion as cases unfold. About the Author

Karen J. Saywitz, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the UCLA School of Medicine. For 20 years she has trained students in medicine, psychology, social work, nursing, and law on the development of children and adolescents and directed programs providing mental health services to children and families in the public sector. Dr. Saywitz is past-president of the American Psychological Association's Division of Child, Youth and Family Services.

Lorinda B. Camparo, PhD, is a Professor of Psychology at Whittier College, where she has taught and conducted research on child forensic interviewing with undergraduate students since 1997. She has been an active member of the Executive Committee for The Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice (APA Division 37) for the past 15 years, serving as Program Chair for the millennium convention, Editor of The Advocate, and Member-at-Large for Communication & Technology.

Great book if used by experienced teachers!

It's a great book to teach Spanish in a fast and practical way. It covers all the basic needs of a language learner who needs to communicate in Spanish in daily situations. The recordings are very thoughtful and are all spoken by native Spanish speakers, and require an attentive listener who has incorporated the language necessary to continue making progress along the course. Great book if used by experienced teachers!

do NOT buy Berlitz language methods!

I currently have the Spanish with Michel Thomas series as well as Rosetta Stone levels 1-5 and thought that this Berlitz would be a good accompaniment to that to do in the car. This has got to be the worst language method that was ever devised! They say things once (quickly) and then expect you to be able to do the same---as well as make up sentences from only having heard anything the one time! My advice? Buy Michel Thomas to do in the car and Rosetta Stone---both are clear (well, Rosetta Stone is clear if you have another computer running to translate when the pictures are not really clear) and well thought out and expect to be able to converse in Spain next year on a planned trip.

Sexy Sweet Short Story

am a longtime lover of Tammy Falkner and the Reed Brothers series. I always enjoy her short stories that give up glimpses into the side characters we get to meet briefly and want to know more about. Yes. You is about Bob and Madison who are Reagan’s parents in Calmly, Carefully, Completely. From Reagan’s book we knew that Bob was an ex-con and Madison was the good girl who fell for him. Their connection was instant and their love lasting.

‘There’s one thing I do know. This is not a girl you f***. This is a girl you take home to meet your mother. I wish I had one.’

Bob and Madison could not have come from more different backgrounds and yet it is clear from the moment they meet that they just belong together. While this story is incredibly short it tells a full tale and had me falling hard for bad boy Bob and too sweet Madison. Without going into it too much I will just say that when it comes to these two there is more than meets the eye. This story was sugary sweet and fun to read. Easily read as a standalone but if you are a fan of the Reed Brothers than you definitely don’t want to miss this one! Reagan and Peter’s book (Calmly, Carefully, Completely) is my favorite in the series and hearing more about Reagan’s parents only made me love it even more.

This was a lovely story about love and forgiveness.

Yes. You. and goes back in time to when Reagan’s parents met. Do you remember her from Calmly, Carefully and Completely? When I briefly met them back then I loved Madison’s understanding towards her daughter and Bob’s protectiveness. So as parents and secondary characters they were pretty awesome and getting a chance to know how their love began is a great nugget. Especially since their meeting is similar to Reagan and Pete’s.

Bob is a bad boy who’s given a second chance. Madison is a rich girl who apparently has it all. They might seem like complete opposites, but Madison doesn’t just see his outer persona, she also sees all the good in him. Their kindred spirits connect and over the holidays they start their forever.
“Who am I?” he asks.
His blue eyes look deeply into mine. “You’re everything,”

I really enjoy Tammy’s unique writing style with so much heart and humor I can’t help but fall for her characters and stories.

Good Novella!!

Yes, You is all about how Reagan and Lincoln's parents from the Reed Brothers Series meet and fall in love. Madison is a rich girl who has this fascinating with Bob, a bad boy that has a second chance after getting in trouble that involves Madison's Father. A simple motorcycle ride starts this journey for the both of them coming into their own and having a love that will last a lifetime.

This is a very quick read but it's full of romance and adventure. I never read this series before or any books by Tammy Falkner and now I want to read everything she has put out!! The only thing I didn't really like was the language they were using at each other toward the end of the book but overall it was pretty good!!

Thank You to Tammy Falkner for making me a reader of yours with this one novella!!

Stunningly Beautiful Cookbook

My Abuela's Table is perhaps the best of dozens of cookbooks I have seen this year. Far from comprehensive, it nonetheless presents a deeply personal view of Mexican, especially Veracruz cooking, with excellent recipes for many home-style dishes. Best of all, it presents this information with gorgeous illustrations that cause me to thumb through the book again and again without even looking at the text. I love this book.

I bought this for my aunt for Christmas this year. She and her husband are always cooking so naturally they loved it. The bonus is the way that it is written!! We're Mexican so it was an even better gift because you can relate to the writing and stories. It makes you feel like its your grandmothers cook book!!!

Lovely book. I gave it to my Mexican almost daughter-in-law who had a close relationship with her late grandmother. The illustrations were beautiful. I do some watercolor painting so I particularly appreciated them, as did she. The recipes were pretty basic and she promised to cook a dinner using one of the recipes from the book when we visit them next month. All in all it turned out to be the perfect gift I hoped it would be.
