Review
If you are a skin care professional and you do NOT have AND use this Skin Bible, do yourself a favor: BUY it, READ it, learn what no school can teach you. Visionary. --Suze Vega - review on publisher site
Physiology of the Skin is a must-have for anyone in the cosmetic field, from estheticians to R&D specialists, as well as anyone involved in the product development or marketing aspects of skin care products. Pugliese and Draelos describe the structure and function of the skin and how it is affected at different stages by both environmental aggressors and cosmeceutical treatments. Estheticians can benefit from this book because of its in-depth scientific perspective, not usually taught in esthetics courses. Other cosmetics industry professionals can benefit because the more that we understand about how products affect the skin, the more we can target skin conditions that are of concern, and ultimately create truly efficacious products. --Tracy Wray, L.E, Director of Sales & Marketing, B&R Products, Inc.
A must-read book! Great investment. This is my fourth book from Alluredbooks and I will buy more. After reading this book, I am designing more effective and efficient treatments for my clients. I am also making better decisions on product and equipment purchasing for my practice. Knowledge from this book saved me several thousand dollars in equipment purchases. --Natalya Vasilev, Massage Therapist, Aesthetician, Certified Acne Expert

pricy... but great info
By SpaGirl
This book is a bit costly, but it contains great information. It is written by doctors and intended for skin care professionals. I find it to be a great addition to my fundamental and advanced textbooks. I refer to it often. If you are an esthetic professional, it's a must for your treatment room shelf.
