About the Author
Mary Hansen received her B.A. in mathematics and M.A.T in education from Trinity University in San Antonio Texas. She has taught mathematics and special education and the elementary, high school and college level in Texas, North Carolina and Kansas. She is the author of Business Math, 17e, and the co-author of three high school mathematics textbooks. She currently works as an educational consultant and freelance writer.

Excellent math book

I highly recommend Master Math. The material is clearly presented, very well explained, and example problems shown step by step. The practice problem answer key even shows calculations and steps leading to the right answer. Each chapter tackles math scenarios routinely encountered such as compounded interest, mortgage rates, annuities, payroll taxes and other things that impact one's finances throughout life. This book is enjoyable to work through and a smart investment.

My girlfriend needed a book to help form the outline and content of a High School Personal Finance Math Course. This book is a wonderful tool for adults or High School students who need to understand the basics of Personal and Business finance.
